Mortar enemy shelling and casualties among the population: the situation in the regions on the morning of March 28
As of the morning of March 28, 2022, missile strikes and mortar shelling continue in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. The Zhytomyr region was also hit by rocket and bomb strikes.
Thus, in the Kyiv region, missile strikes and shelling are recorded in the settlements of the Bucha district – the villages of Petrushky and Shpytky, the losses are being clarified. Borshchahivska and Vyshnivska territorial communities under rocket fire. There are hits in residential buildings. Sviatopetrivske – shelling, damaged house.
Fighting is taking place in Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel. Also shelling and fighting continues in settlements along the Zhytomyr highway.
Defensive battles around the city continue in Chernihiv. In the evening, one of the residential neighborhoods came under mortar fire, no one was killed.
At night, three missile and bomb strikes were recorded in Zhytomyr and Korosten districts. Two people are reported injured and 12 have been evacuated.
Air alarms were recorded in Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Rivne, Chernivtsi and Mykolayiv regions.
It was quiet in Sumy, Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytsky and Zaporizhia regions.
As well as in Ternopil, Cherkasy, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.
In Kharkiv, the occupiers continued shelling the outskirts of the city at night. In the region, air strikes attacked Oskil, Izium district. The rocket hit one of the apartment buildings. A family of four died. A 4-year-old child was injured.
There are active battles in Izium.
In the evening, at about 10 pm, the enemy fired missiles at an oil depot on the outskirts of Lutsk. According to preliminary data, there are no victims. Extinguishing continues.
In the Luhansk region in Siverodonetsk and Rubizhne, shelling continues without stopping. In the suburbs of Siverodonetsk, in the village of Borivskyi, a child died.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine drove the Russians out of one of the districts of Rubizhne. In total, five massive attacks by the Russian army were repulsed in Luhansk and Donetsk regions in one day – destroyed tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and enemy vehicles. This morning another person was killed and one wounded in Rubizhne.
The situation in the Donetsk region is stably tense – along the entire line of contact. The enemy attacks, but does not advance. The blockade of Mariupol continues. The convoy of buses, which left Zaporizhia for Berdiansk to evacuate Mariupol residents, is still standing in front of the city entrance – the occupiers do not allow it.
Strong explosions were recorded in the Kherson region. Fighting is taking place in the territories bordering Mykolayiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions (Vysokopilia, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Beryslav, Snihurivka, Stanislav).
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian military has fired heavily on the village of Stanislav and the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka, where there are victims, who was killed, among them children.
