Explosions are heard in Odessa: residents are urged to be in shelters

Local residents and Ukrainian media have reported a number of explosions in Odessa. The information is currently being verified.

Adviser to the Head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak noted that this year’s Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Second World War in Ukraine is held under the constant sounds of air alarms.

– The Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Second World War, May 8, 2022, is held in Ukraine to the continuous sounds of anti-aircraft sirens throughout the territory. Today Odesa is under massive missile strikes by Russia. Russia’s “heirs of Nazism” are viciously taking revenge on the free people of Europe, – said the adviser to the head of the President’s Office.

Information on possible victims and destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure is being clarified.
