Strike on Zaporizhzhya suburb: cluster munitions exploded, service station destroyed
The Russian army struck again at the suburbs of Zaporizhzhia. Cluster munitions exploded near a hospital with patients – 270 people and 60 doctors were under threat.
This was reported by the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh on the air of the information telethon Yedynyi Novyny. According to him, all people are currently being evacuated.
At the same time, in the morning the enemy completely destroyed the service station, but there were no casualties, he noted.
– Zaporizhzhya NPP, which has been seized since March, continues to be powered by the Ukrainian power grid, because the occupiers do not allow to launch power units to meet the needs of the plant and provide heat to the city, – the head of the UIA warned.
Starukh said that the enemy continues to insidiously shell the nuclear facility: yesterday the generators were switched on again in emergency mode.
However, power engineers in extremely difficult conditions restored the destroyed networks and re-energized the plant. He emphasizes that this scenario is repeated regularly, so without the transfer of Zaporizhzhya NPP under the control of NNEGC Energoatom and the IAEA, the nuclear threat will not disappear.
