He knows about preparations for the invasion: the Prosecutor General’s Office is checking the testimony of a Russian intelligence officer

Former Russian intelligence colonel Igor Salikov is ready to testify against high-ranking Russian officials at the International Criminal Court about Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine and is seeking political asylum in the Netherlands.
This was reported on the air of the national telethon of the United News.
On December 18, he arrived in Amsterdam and said he was ready to appear before the ICC in The Hague and cooperate.
According to Yuriy Belousov, Director of the War Department at the Prosecutor General’s Office, Salikov has been involved in hostilities against Ukraine since 2014.
– This is a person who has been involved in hostilities since 2014 in the east of our country, and then during the full-scale invasion. Therefore, it is clear that this person knows very well the specific persons who occupy certain positions, what orders they issued and what crimes they may be involved in,” he said.
The prosecutor noted that the Russian officer has information about preparations for a full-scale invasion, and can also tell about specific war crimes committed against the Ukrainian people. However, everything he is ready to tell needs to be carefully checked, Belousov noted.
– “All information is being checked, at this stage we cannot give many details because the enemy is monitoring our communication. We were able to verify the fact that a civilian was killed after the full-scale invasion of Kyiv region began,” the prosecutor added.
Crimes of the occupiers in Ukraine
On October 27, the Russian military shot nine members of a family with firearms. At that time, the people were already asleep.
Among the victims were three women and two young children born in 2014 and 2018. Investigators found that the occupiers demanded that the family vacate the house for a Russian army unit. However, the 53-year-old owner refused, so they killed the entire family.
