Shelling of Ukraine on August 8: All Shaheds and two of the four missiles were shot down
During the shelling of Ukraine on August 8, Russian troops used missiles and attack drones.
Missile attack
The missile attack came from two directions.
The Russian army fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation over the Kharkiv region.
The occupiers fired two Kh-59 guided air missiles from the airspace over the Sea of Azov in the direction of the Kirovohrad region.
Anti-aircraft defense eliminated both Kh-59 missiles.
The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykola Oleshchuk, did not report the destruction of the Iskander-M.
Drone attack
The drone attack took place from the Yeysk district in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.
From there, the invaders launched four Shahed-136/131 attack drones
All four Shaheds were destroyed by mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare units of the Air Force.
Enemy targets were landed in Odesa, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions.
