In Belarus, dissatisfaction was expressed that Ukraine is strengthening its border
Belarusian border guards expressed indignation that “Ukrainian military continues to mine the territories adjacent to the border”.
The head of the Border Committee of Belarus stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly not only mine the border with Belarus from the side of Ukraine, but also accused that our military is allegedly “destroying roads” and “infrastructure facilities”.
The Belarusian department even released some video with alleged “mining”.
Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin, gave his “officer’s word” to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, that Russian troops would not enter Belarus.
But at the end of February, Russian occupation troops entered the territory of Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. In addition, the Russian army has been shelling Ukrainian cities for the ninth month from the territory of Belarus.
Also, the probability of a repeated attack from the territory of Belarus cannot be ruled out.
On November 11, it became known that Ukraine is erecting engineering barriers on the border with Belarus – a reinforced concrete fence with barbed wire. Such a wall, in particular, appeared in the Volyn region. Work on strengthening the border is also taking place in the Rivne and Zhytomyr regions.
