NATO will discuss the strengthening of air defense on the eastern flank – the prime minister of Slovakia

On Wednesday, November 16, representatives of NATO member states will most likely discuss a request to strengthen air defense on the Union’s eastern flank.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Eduard Heger.
– Of course, the agenda will most likely include a request to strengthen the airspace of the bordering countries, – he said.
Earlier, Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy said that his country will request additional air defense systems from NATO partners.
– I do not rule out that further strategic air defense systems will be sent to eastern Slovakia, – he said, adding that no specific agreements have been reached yet.
Slovakia, which borders Ukraine, currently has three Patriot air defense system batteries operated by allied forces.
It should be noted that Poland initiated the convening of the NATO Council on the basis of Article 4 of the Basic Treaty after the fall of two missiles on its territory.
