Explosions at the Russian airfield in Engels, damaged Tu-95 bombers – mass media
The mass media report on explosions at the military airfield in Engels, Saratov region, from where bombers take off to attack Ukraine with missiles.
According to preliminary data, an unknown drone attacked the airfield in the morning of December 5, it fell on the runway. Two Tu-95 aircraft were damaged, two people were injured.
Surveillance footage shows the moment of the explosion, but there is no official confirmation that it happened in Engels.
At the same time, residents of Engels and Saratov allegedly heard a loud explosion around 6:00.
The authorities of the Saratov region, as well as the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, have not yet confirmed the information about the explosions at the airfield.
Engels Airport is located 750 km from the border with Ukraine.

The other day, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that additional bombers were dropped at the Engels airfield in the Saratov region, which may indicate the preparation of a new attack on Ukraine and the expansion of the directions of the attacks.
