Putin will be tried according to international law – the G7 countries

The G7 countries said that they would definitely hold Russian President Vladimir Putin accountable for the war in Ukraine and war crimes against the Ukrainian people.
This is stated in the communique based on the results of their meeting.
The leaders of the Big Seven (G7) met the day before to discuss the solution of global problems during a difficult geopolitical crisis and a critical moment for the world economy.
The G7 countries declared that they are more than ever united with the Ukrainian people in the face of Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked aggressive war against Ukraine.
– We condemn Russia’s continuous inhumane and brutal attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, including energy and water supply facilities, as well as cities throughout Ukraine, – the joint communiqué.
The leaders of the G7 declared that all strikes against the civilian population or civilian objects are a war crime.
– We will bring President Putin and others involved to justice in accordance with international law. Ultimately, Russia will have to pay to rebuild vital infrastructure damaged or destroyed in its brutal war. There can be no impunity for war crimes and other crimes, – the statement said.
The Group of Seven countries also said that they will certainly help Ukraine prepare for winter and meet Ukraine’s urgent short-term financing needs.
And the G7 will continue to coordinate efforts to provide Ukraine with military equipment, with an emphasis on air defense systems and means.
