President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the Ukrainian formula for peace can be implemented in six months.
The Head of State said this during a speech at a meeting of the European Council on Thursday, December 15.
– “Over the past six months, we have developed and offered the world a peace formula that contains everything necessary not only to end this war, but also to guarantee – reliably and for a long time – that there will be no repetition of the same or the beginning of any other war in Europe,” the President said.
He urged the European Council to support the Ukrainian formula of peace and added that it could be implemented in the next six months. For this purpose, the Global Peace Formula Summit will be organized in the nearest time.
– Each of the points of our peace formula allows each conscientious country to demonstrate its leadership and help with a particular goal.
According to Zelenskyy, these are opportunities for all countries to contribute to the security of Ukraine, the whole of Europe, the world. And these are also opportunities for those who are more active in international relations and for those who are still doing less to protect peace.
The ten-point peace formula, which Zelenskyy presented to the G20 leaders earlier, covers: radiation and nuclear safety; food and energy security; countering ecocide; the release of all prisoners and deportees.
As well as the implementation of the UN Charter and the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and world order; withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities; preventing escalation and fixing the end of the war.
