The US Senate approved the budget for 2023: almost $45 billion will be allocated to Ukraine and allies

The US Senate on Thursday, December 22, passed a large project of the budget of the United States in the amount of about $1.7 trillion, which will finance spending in 2023. Almost $45 billion has been earmarked for Ukraine and allies.
This was reported by The Washington Post.
In the last minutes, Democrats and Republicans settled the conflict that arose over immigration.
The new budget increases domestic and defense spending, funds President Biden’s economic agenda and provides a host of new emergency aid, including for Ukraine.
The document provides nearly $773 billion for domestic programs and more than $850 billion for the U.S. military.
For Republicans, the primary concern is defense. The amount of about $850 billion was a 10 percent increase over the previous fiscal year. Salaries for military personnel will be increased, as well as new weapons, planes and warships.
Lawmakers also agreed to send $44.9 billion in emergency military, economic and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The amount exceeded President Joe Biden’s original request.
It was previously reported that the US budget provides almost $45 billion to support NATO allies and Ukraine. In particular, $800 million has been allocated to our country.
