The Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and France, Oleksiy Reznikov and Sebastien Lecornu, agreed on the supply of French-made AMX 10-RC light battle tanks.
This is stated in the press release of the Ministry of Defense of France.
The day before, the defense ministers of Ukraine and France held a telephone conversation during which they discussed military aid to Ukraine.
It is noted that the supply of tanks to Ukraine will take place within two months.
In addition, the ministers agreed on the operational organization of training Ukrainian servicemen to handle these tanks.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, thanked Sebastien Lecorny for his constant support to Ukraine and for the decision to provide AMX-10 RC wheeled tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine also highly appreciated the quality of Crotale air defense systems recently delivered by France, which were used to protect Kyiv during the recent Russian bombings.
It was previously reported that Great Britain is considering providing Ukraine with 12 Challenger 2 battle tanks.
