These are sanctions, the first of which were imposed in 2014 after Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and significantly expanded in February 2022 with the outbreak of a full-scale war.
As a reminder, on January 22, the European Commission began consultations with EU ambassadors on the adoption of the 10th package of sanctions against Russia, which will include restrictions against Belarus.
According to media reports, the new package may come into force on the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24.
