The head of the Munich Security Conference advocates the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine

The head of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen, is in favor of supplying Ukraine with fighter jets to protect against Russian attacks.

According to him, Ukraine can be given American F-16 fighters or Soviet-developed fighters from the old stockpiles of the GDR.

Thus, in one of the TV broadcasts, Heusgen said: I believe that the supply of fighter jets is necessary for better protection of Ukraine from Russian attacks.

Heusgen noted that, according to international law, states are allowed to supply Ukraine with weapons, in particular, main battle tanks and fighter jets.

Heusgen had previously spoken out in favor of sending modern tanks to Ukraine, and when Chancellor Olaf Scholz approved the decision, Christoph Heusgen welcomed it. After all, Leopard 2 tanks can be of decisive importance for the defense of Ukraine.
