Ukraine’s partners and allies should stop drawing any red lines and finally provide modern fighter jets and long-range missiles, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said in an interview with LRT TV channel.

– “I have seen many red lines that have been drawn, so sometimes I even have the impression that these red lines are drawn not by us, by Western countries, by democracies, but by the terrorist state of Russia, which is trying to draw them through fear and threats. And it is trying to impose them,” the Lithuanian leader explained.

According to him, a number of red lines have already been crossed in relation to Ukraine, and this concerns not only tanks or the status of a candidate for EU membership.

– At the beginning of the war, Germany categorically stated that it would only provide bulletproof vests, helmets, etc., but not weapons. But this red line was also passed a long time ago. This Rubicon has been crossed, so I really hope that this red line – if it really exists, and I think it exists only in our heads – will also be crossed,” Nausėda emphasized.

The Lithuanian president believes that Kyiv desperately needs fighter jets and long-range missiles “at this crucial stage of the war, when a turning point is about to occur.”
