Russia lost up to 200 thousand people in the war, including the wounded – British intelligence
The total losses of the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war amount to up to 200 thousand people, of whom up to 60 thousand have been eliminated.
This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense intelligence.
The intelligence emphasizes that the forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense and private military companies have probably lost between 175 and 200 thousand people since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. This apparently includes about 40-60 thousand killed.
At the same time, among the mercenaries of Wagner’s PMC, the losses reach about 50% of their total number.
The Russians suffer the greatest losses from Ukrainian artillery strikes.
The British Ministry of Defense believes that the occupiers’ losses have been growing at an accelerated pace since September, when Russia conducted partial mobilization.
The British emphasize that the ratio of the number of killed to the number of wounded is abnormally high for a modern war.
– “This almost certainly indicates a very primitive medical support for most units,” the British intelligence concluded.
According to the General Staff, on February 16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 800 Russian occupants.
