The Russian Federation has begun to launch drones from a site closer to Kyiv – British intelligence

Shahed-type kamikaze drones, with which the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine at the end of February, were most likely launched from the Bryansk region of Russia.

Such a conclusion was reached by the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, after analyzing the vector of the drone attack.

In view of this, the British Ministry of Defense notes, it can be argued that Russia has changed the site for launching drones, because since mid-December 2022, the only such point was the Krasnodar Territory, from where the UAVs were headed across the Sea of Azov.

Watching now

From the launch site in the Bryansk region, the direction of the Russian attack is moving closer to Kyiv.

– Presumably, this will help the Russians to reduce the time drones are in the air over Ukraine, and will also further stretch the strength of Ukrainian air defense, – it is assumed in the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

We will remind that on the night of February 27, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 11 out of 14 kamikaze drones of the Shahed type launched by Russia.

Nine of them were shot down in the airspace of Kyiv, the rest – in the Chernihiv region.

At the same time, the break in the launch of drones from February 15 to 26, British intelligence officers are convinced, indicates a reduction in UAV stocks, so it is possible that the Russian Federation will look for ways to replenish them.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 371st day.
