Ukraine will be as uncompromising on its path to NATO as it is in repelling Russian aggression.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint press conference with President of Poland Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

– “Ukraine is a warm, friendly country, but uncompromising in war. We will not give up our land, freedom, our children who were forcibly deported to Russia, and our independence. We are uncompromising in friendship. We consider Poland to be our true friend and partner forever,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the head of state, the Polish president was equally uncompromising when he supported Ukraine on its path to the European Union.

Zelenskyy said that Ukraine received its EU candidacy thanks to many partners, but first and foremost thanks to Poland. He thanked them for their uncompromising support.

– “I would also like to say and convey to all our partners who are constantly looking for compromises for Ukraine on its way to NATO that Ukraine will be uncompromising in this matter as well. And I am glad that Poland is with us on this path,” Zelenskyy said.

For his part, Duda said that Ukraine could receive additional security guarantees during the NATO summit in Vilnius this summer. He also emphasized that Ukraine should become a full member of the EU and NATO as soon as possible.
