Norway allocated 378 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Norway allocated NOK 2.8 billion (EUR 235 million) for humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine. Norway is currently allocating another NOK 1.7 billion (EUR 143 million) for Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Norwegian government.
The money will be used to repair and support civil infrastructure, in particular, to provide Ukrainians with access to electricity and water.
Earlier this year, the government allocated 2 billion Norwegian kroner (168 million euros) for similar needs.
– We are in close dialogue with the authorities of Ukraine to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most. Russia’s war of aggression causes incredible suffering and massive destruction every day. Our support will help ease the situation of the Ukrainian people, who have suffered so much, – said Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Har Store.
In addition, Norway has committed to providing NOK 15 billion (€1.2 billion) every year for the next five years, until 2027.
We will remind that on May 3, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Helsinki for a visit . He met with the President of Finland Sauli Niinisto.
