UK offers assistance to countries willing to provide fighter jets to Ukraine – Wallace

The United Kingdom can support the Ukrainian Armed Forces by providing assistance to other countries that are willing to supply fighter jets and other military equipment to Ukraine.
This was stated by Defence Secretary Ben Wallace in Berlin at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius, answering a question about sending aircraft to Ukraine.
– “What we can do, obviously, is training and support, again, within certain limits, because we don’t have F-16 pilots,” he explained.
According to him, any country that turns to Britain, for example, to supply tanks to Ukraine, will receive support in this process.
For his part, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said that Berlin has neither the training capacity nor the military equipment to actively join the British-Dutch initiative to supply fighter jets.
Today, 17 May, the Prime Ministers of the UK and the Netherlands announced following the Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik that they are working to create an international coalition to help Ukraine receive F-16 fighter jets from their allies.
On 15 May, the UK announced that it would start training Ukrainian pilots in the summer.
