The NATO Parliamentary Assembly recognized the crimes committed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine as genocide

On May 22, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly adopted a declaration recognizing the crimes of the Russian Federation against Ukraine as genocide, and the Russian regime as racism.
This was announced by the head of the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA, People’s Deputy Yehor Chernev.
According to him, this document will have far-reaching political consequences.
– In addition, the NATO PA called on the governments of their countries to openly announce at the summit in Vilnius that Ukraine will become a member of the bloc, and to agree on the next concrete steps for Ukraine’s accession to NATO. This is our diplomatic victory. All our key wishes regarding the final text of the declaration have been taken into account, – added the People’s Deputy.
Chernev clarified that it is about supporting the international tribunal, helping Ukraine before and after victory, condemning the ideology of racism, restoring territorial integrity, sanctions, reparations, the Marshall Plan, etc.
– The foundation for the NATO summit in Vilnius has been laid. Parliamentarians of the alliance countries expressed their position. Now it’s up to the governments, – he concluded.
Earlier, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Kornienko, announced the adoption of the declaration of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly with specific proposals for the summit of the member countries of the military bloc, which will be held in July in Vilnius, regarding Ukraine’s future membership.
