In an interview with the Helsingin Sanomat, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs spoke about three reasons that could potentially force Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end his bloody war against Ukraine.

– First, the realization that the West will continue to support Ukraine, regardless of any turn of events in the war, he said.

According to the Latvian president, Vladimir Putin realizes that he is unable to withstand the economic power of the United States, Canada and the European Union.

– “Secondly, we must show that we are determined to increase our defense industrial potential and produce all the shells, ammunition, missiles, drones and tanks that Ukraine needs, while replenishing our own stocks,” Rinkēvičs added.

He noted that the third important factor is the progress of the Ukrainian Defense Forces at the front.

However, the Latvian president is confident that the war will end quickly. Russia’s current strategy is to simply continue the war of attrition.

Earlier, Edgars Rinkēvičs said that Ukraine’s defeat in the war with Russia could lead to a third world war and even a nuclear war and called on the international community to provide maximum support to Ukraine.
