Gerasimov’s possible death in Crimea: what the Main Intelligence Service and the State Security Service of Ukraine say

The Ukrainian side cannot confirm or deny the information that the Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov could have been killed during a large-scale attack on the temporarily occupied Crimea on January 4.
In particular, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, succinctly noted that he had no confirmation of this information.
In a commentary to ICTV Fakty, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine replied that they also have no confirmation of the information about the possible death of Russian military leader Gerasimov.
Probable death of Gerasimov in Crimea: what is known
On the night of January 4-5, a large-scale attack took place in the occupied Crimea. In particular, residents of Saki, Kerch, Yevpatoria and Novofedorivka heard a series of explosions.
Subsequently, more and more unconfirmed reports began to appear that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valeryi Gerasimov may have been killed as a result of yesterday’s attack on the occupied Crimea.
