The European Union has prepared about 700,000 artillery shells for Ukraine out of the promised million, but the defense industry continues to increase production, said the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, before an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers.

– Now we have about 700,000 155 mm caliber ammunition (650,000 to be exact). That is, we have not yet reached the goal. Our industry is increasing its capacity, – the diplomat emphasized.
He once again emphasized that even when it comes to considering the possibility of launching strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation with Western weapons, the European Union is not in a state of war.
– No one wants to fight with Russia. We simply support Ukraine. But put yourself in the shoes of the Ukrainians, who are being bombed by the Russians from a place that is beyond your capabilities. You would like to be able to fight as equals. This is a war that costs Ukrainians many lives. Therefore, we should support them more – Borrell concluded.
