The United States does not plan to put pressure on Ukraine to push it to any diplomatic arrangements with the Russian Federation, which unleashed a Russian-Ukrainian war.
This was stated during a briefing on Friday, March 25, by US Assistant to the President of National Security Jake Sullivan.
The diplomatic process continues. This process goes directly between Ukraine and Russia. The United States is not directly involved in these negotiations… The President made it clear yesterday that ultimately, Ukraine would have to determine any diplomatic agreement for itself. The United States will not push it to do anything or put pressure on Ukraine to come to some specific result, – Sullivan assured.
