In his opinion, only with this agreement the war in Ukraine can be ended.

In his opinion, only with this agreement the war in Ukraine can be ended. Equally important is a complete ceasefire so that humanitarian problems can be resolved.

Today, another problem is growing – the escalation of war, the escalation of hatred. This is a violation of the rules and customs of warfare, – Mykhailo Podolyak said.

After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the delegations of both countries held three stages of negotiations on the territory of Belarus – on February 28, March 4 and 7.

Then the negotiations moved to a remote format due to logistical problems. Negotiations are ongoing. The fourth round of negotiations took place in video format on March 14, and the fifth – on March 21.

According to the Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak, peace negotiations with Russia may last at least a few weeks.

Earlier, he also said that “right now” two “scandalous processes” were developing in the Russian Federation, which, according to him, were extremely destructive to the authoritarian framework of the aggressor state.
