The Russian invaders captured 24 civil servants, the fate of two is unknown

The Russian invaders are holding 24 representatives of Ukrainian local authorities including mayors and other officials.
This was reported in the Office of the President of Ukraine based on consolidated data from the Regional Military Administration.
– 24 captives are all abducted officials including mayors, their deputies, other representatives of government agencies. These are people who are still in captivity, – the statement said.
The President’s Office said that the information on two people is currently being clarified.
At the same time, on March 26, three Ukrainian officials from Balaklia were detained in the Kharkiv region who eventually cooperated with the invaders.
We are talking about the mayor of Balaklia Ivan Stolbovy, the deputy mayor Serhiy Poltorak and the head of the department of civil protection and cooperation with law enforcement agencies Oleh Bludov.
The President’s Office clarified that the three collaborators from Balaklia are included in the list of 24 captives.
Earlier, in the Kherson region in the city of Gola Prystan on March 31, peaceful meeting of local residents was held demanding that the Russian invaders release Mayor Oleksander Babich from captivity.
