About 17.8 thousand people and more than 630 tanks: updated information on the losses of Russian troops in Ukraine
On the 38th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Russian troops continue to lose military equipment and hundreds of military personnel.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published updated data on the losses of Russian troops.
Thus, the total combat losses of the enemy in the war in Ukraine from February 24 to April 2 are approximately:
• about 17,800 personnel (for the last day the loss of enemy troops increased by about 100 people);
• 631 tanks (+6 per day);
• 1,776 armored combat vehicles (+25 per day);
• 317 artillery systems (+1 per day);
• 100 MLRS – multiple launch rocket systems (+4 per day);
• 54 units of air defense equipment;
• 143 aircrafts;
• 134 helicopters (+3 per day);
• 1,236 units of automotive equipment (+16 per day);
• 7 ships / boats;
• 76 fuel tanks;
• 87 UAVs of operational and tactical level (+2 per day);
• 24 units of special equipment;
• 4 operational-tactical missile system / tactical missile system launchers.
Data on enemy losses are constantly updated as the calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has begun to involve units of Russian troops in the Transnistrian region of Moldova. According to the General Staff, the aggressor country intends to use these units for provocations and demonstrations on the border with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the UK’s intelligence reported that Ukrainian troops continue to counterattack on the outskirts of Kyiv. In addition, Ukrainian forces strengthened a key route in eastern Kharkiv after fierce fighting.
