Russia sees starvation as a weapon against ordinary people – Zelenskyy
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Parliament of Ireland. He stressed that Russia continued to shell various infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

The President also recalled that Russia blocked all seaports along with ships that were already loaded with agricultural products for export.
Why are they doing that? Because they see starvation as a weapon against ordinary people, as a tool to dominate. Ukraine is one of the leading states in the world food market. Without our exports, this is not just a shortage, but a threat of starvation for more than a dozen countries in Africa and Asia. Because physically there will not be enough production volumes and prices will rise significantly. It will become even more difficult for millions of poor people in northern Africa and parts of Asia to feed their families, – he explained.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also added that disrupting the sowing campaign in Ukraine, as the Russian Federation is doing, means deliberately provoking a food crisis.
