The World Bank has approved a $ 1.5 billion tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine

The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors has approved an additional $ 1.49 billion in funding for Ukraine.
According to Reuters, the new tranche is in addition to the already promised support of more than $ 2.5 billion. Thus, the total amount of assistance to Ukraine from the World Bank is already more than 4 billion dollars.
A World Bank statement said the nearly $ 1.5 billion tranches for Ukraine are supported by financial guarantees from Britain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Latvia and supported by Italy through parallel financing. In addition, there will be contributions from the new Multi-Donor Trust Fund.
