In Ukraine, a military operation to clear the Zmiyny Island is underway.
On July 1, the Ukrainian military discovered and destroyed:
- Grad rocket salvo fire system,
- one Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun complex,
- three units of armored and automotive equipment,
- tank truck and the shelter area of other equipment.
– No signs of the presence of the enemy were detected, – noted in the Operational Command “South” .
As the Operational Command “South” emphasized, the day before the Russian military launched six airstrikes against the positions of Ukrainian units, on Snake Island and simply on civilians.
– In pairs and groups of helicopters, the Russian Federation bombarded the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, and in the evening attack aircraft were also used. It passed without losses on the Ukrainian side, – the Operational Command “South” emphasizes.
In response, the Ukrainian military launched airstrikes against Russian ammunition warehouses, a stronghold, and a concentration of enemy forces and equipment in the area of Snigurivka, Blagodatny, Olgany, and Davydovo Brod.
Now the results are being investigated. However, it is already known that the Russian army lost:
- 27 military personnel,
- anti-aircraft missile complex Tor,
- Msta-S self-propelled howitzer,
- three units of armored and automotive equipment.
- three field ammunition depots in the Kherson region.
The Russians lost two drones during reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces in the Kherson and Skadovsky districts.
– Using incendiary ammunition from a pair of fighter jets, the Russian military tried to burn out the “remains of goodwill” left behind in the form of abandoned equipment on Zmiino Island. The already familiar tactic of “missing” was demonstrated here in several variants, – said Operational Command “South”.
On the evening of July 1, enemy aircraft again tried to attack the Odesa region. However, the X-31 missile launched from the plane over the sea was accurately destroyed by the anti-aircraft missile unit.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 129th day.
