Ukrainian defenders hindered the advance of the Russian invaders in two directions in the East.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine resolutely repulsed the enemy during an attempt to advance in the direction of Verkhnokamyanka. The Russians, having suffered losses, retreated.
The occupiers shelled the districts of Dibrivny, Mykilskyi, Podolivka, Mazanivka, Adamivka, Chepylya, Krasnopill and Kurulka with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, and civilian and military infrastructure near Zakitny, Hryhorivka, Tetyanivka, Zvanivka, Minkivka, Raigorodka and with barrel and rocket artillery.
The Russian military resorted to aerial reconnaissance using an operational-tactical drone in the vicinity of Zvanivka, Fedorivka, and Serebryanka.
Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Novoluhanske, Berestov, Bilorogivka, Vershina, Vyimka, Sukha Balka, Oleksandropil and the territory of the Vuglegirsk thermal power station in the Bakhmut direction were under enemy fire.
The occupiers also launched missile and air strikes near Soledar, Pokrovsky and Svitlodarsk.
However, the Ukrainian military competently repelled another reconnaissance attempt with a battle near Berestovo and Bilogorivka.
