The Russian invaders resort to hostilities in order to create the conditions for an attack on Bakhmut and taking over the territory of the Vuglegirsk Thermal Power Plant.
On July 20, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the intentions of the Russian Federation in a morning briefing.
According to the Ukrainian side, the occupiers are now opening fire from barrel, rocket artillery and tanks in the areas of the settlements of Berestov, Bilogorivka, Yakovlivka, Pokrovske, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Kodema in the Bakhmut direction.
Air strikes on Berestovo, Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Vershyn, New York and Pokrovsky were recorded.
Fighting is going on in the direction of the settlements of Berestov, Vershina and Novoluhanske.
