The Russian occupiers once again attempted to storm the territory of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the AFU as of July 23.

It is noted that the invaders stormed the territory in different directions, but again without success and with losses.

Enemy reconnaissance groups attempting to find weaknesses in the defenses of the Ukrainian forces in the directions of Soledar and Pokrovske were discovered and disarmed.

The situation did not change significantly in the Volyn, Polessk, and Seversk directions. The enemy shelled the village of Starikovo in the Sumy region. Aerial reconnaissance by UAVs of the border area in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions continues.

In the Slobozhansky direction, enemy units with all available means continue to deter the defense forces from moving deeper into the temporarily occupied territory.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy carried out firing from barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Kharkiv, Ruski Tiyshki, Cherkaski Tyshki, Bazaliivka, Husarivka, Ruska Lozova, Udy, Malynivka and a number of other settlements. Airstrikes near Verkhniy Saltov.

On the Sloviansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Dubravne, Velyka Kamyshevakha, Nova Dmytrivka, and others with artillery. Near Bogorodichnoye, a reconnaissance group tried to find weaknesses in defense of our troops. The enemy was neutralized.

In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers continue to concentrate their main efforts in the Kramatorsk and Bakhmutsk directions and attempt to establish control over the territory of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant continue.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out shelling in particular in the areas of Verkhnekamyanske, Reznikovka, Zakotne, Grigorivka, Vyimka, and Zvanivka. There was an air strike near Spirnyy.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is trying to create favorable conditions to continue the offensive on Bakhmut. It shelled our troops with tanks, barrels, and rocket artillery in Travneve, Semygorya, Razdolivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bilogorivka, and other settlements. Conducted air strikes against Pokrovske and Novoluganske.

In Avdiivka, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhya, the enemy systematically shelled civilian and military infrastructure in Novobakhmutivka, Peski, Opytne, Vodyane, Shevchenko, Mala Tokmachka, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Bilogorivka and many other settlements. Conducted air strikes near Krasnogorivka and Kamianka.

In the South Bug direction, the main efforts of the enemy are focused on preventing the advance of our troops. Maintains a high intensity of reconnaissance with drones. Mutual fire from the barrel, rocket artillery, and tanks along the entire line of engagement continues.

The Ukrainian defense forces are inflicting losses on the enemy in all areas where combat operations continue and are ready for any changes in the operational situation. There are more and more cases of desertion and open disobedience to the command in the units of the Russian occupation forces.
