By declaring the so-called martial law in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has started a new stage of terror.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

– The declaration of the so-called martial law by the Russian Federation aims to suppress the resistance of the residents of Luhansk region, Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson region, who oppose the Russian occupation. Even massive Russian propaganda cannot mask the failure of Russia’s efforts to annex Ukrainian territories, – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin null and void.

– It has no legal consequences for Ukraine and its citizens, as well as for the international community. Instead, such a step is another example of the crimes of the Russian leadership against the Ukrainian state and Ukrainians, – the ministry emphasized.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that despite the agony of the Putin regime in the Kremlin, Ukraine will continue to liberate the occupied territories and save its people.

The Ministry called on all international partners of Ukraine to strongly condemn the intention of the Russian occupation administrations, under the guise of the so-called “martial law”, to deprive the inhabitants of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine of even basic human rights. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the condemnation of their illegal plans to legalize looting, forced deportations and mobilization.

– We also appeal to provide Ukraine with modern anti-missile and anti-air defense systems as soon as possible in order to protect the civilian population from barbaric Russian missile attacks and kamikaze drone attacks, – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

We will remind you that on October 19, the President of the Russian Federation announced the decision to introduce “martial law” in the temporarily occupied Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The “martial law” declared by Putin is to begin at midnight on October 19-20.
