Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukrainian soldiers shoot down 9 out of 10 missiles with the help of the German IRIS-T system.
Shmyhal said this at a press conference in the context of the International Expert Conference on the restoration, reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine on Tuesday in Berlin.
According to him, the weapons transferred by Germany show themselves very well on the battlefield.
– German weapons show themselves perfectly on the battlefield, they protect our lives, our infrastructure and work perfectly. The IRIS-T system was able to neutralize nine out of 10 missiles,” the Head of Government said.
Germany is also the second largest donor of military weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that in the near future Germany will transfer three more IRIS-T systems to Ukraine.
