The occupation authorities are carrying out work on switching the Zaporizhzhіa nuclear power plant to the energy system of the Russian Federation.
This was reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 15.
In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine adds, the invaders continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure along the right bank of the Dnipro River.
Areas of 19 settlements were affected, in particular:
- Vremivka, Novopil, Donetsk region;
- Gulyaipilske, Orihiv, Mala Tokmachka of the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novotyaginka, Tokarivka, Yantarne of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
There is information that the Russian occupiers mined country plots and the banks of the Konka and Chaika rivers within the Oleshkiv urban territorial community of the Kherson region.
Ukrainian citizens who lived on Velikiy Potemkinsky Island near Kherson were also forcibly evacuated to the territory still under the control of the Russian invaders.
