The duration of Russian attacks by Iranian drones depends on supplies, as well as on the enemy’s assessment of the effectiveness of such strikes, since in the two nights of January 1 and 2, the Air Defense Forces destroyed all 84 launched Shahed-131/136.
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, commented on President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s forecast on the probability of night drone attacks in the coming weeks on the air of the telethon.
– If they will be at such a pace as those two nights, then judging by the information already announced by our special services and intelligence about the new batch of 250 drones, at least half of them have already been used. That is, you can conditionally calculate, – he emphasized.
At the same time, Ignat believes that a new party can be brought in at any time, since Russia and Iran are separated by a piece of the Caspian Sea.
– Therefore, they can transport these drones by sea at least every day. The question is whether Iran is willing to continue providing drones, or does it have enough? Will they do it under the guise of production at the conditional Russian factory they wanted to build. Actually, everything depends on supplies. Therefore, we will prepare! – said the spokesman of the Air Force.
Ignat also emphasized that the Russians should not be underestimated, they see that we have learned how to effectively shoot down drones, but they also understand that these attacks are exhausting our air defense system.
– Because drones are relatively cheap, the enemy understands this. Even fighter jets rise to intercept. Western weapons help in their destruction. It works extremely efficiently, but more of it is needed, – concluded the military man.
