Aircraft crash in Brovary: 18 dead, almost three dozen injured

On the morning of January 18, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and a residential building in Brovary, Kyiv region.

29 people, including 15 minors, were injured.
According to Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of the Regional Military Administration, the victims are being provided with all necessary assistance.
All operational services are working at the scene.
Update at 10:11. According to the head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhen Yenin and State Secretary Yuriy Lubkovych – died in the plane crash in Brovary.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that an aircraft crashed into a social infrastructure facility in Brovary.
– We are checking the information about the victims and the circumstances. The State Emergency Service and all services are already at the scene,” wrote Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
According to Kyiv police spokeswoman Kateryna Pryanishnikova, the helicopter crashed near a kindergarten, after which a fire broke out.

On the morning of January 18, an explosion occurred in Brovary, Kyiv region.

A loud sound was heard in the area of the kindergarten after an aircraft flew overhead. Immediately afterward, ambulances rushed to the scene.
