Russia is learning from its mistakes, and now it is harder for Ukrainian troops to hit its ammunition depots and logistics centers. Therefore, Ukraine needs longer-range missiles.
This was stated in an interview with CNN by Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to him, the occupiers have begun to transfer military supplies throughout the Russian Federation, in particular through the Crimean peninsula to the southern regions.
– “Therefore, it is necessary to strike at targets not only in the Russian-occupied Crimea, but also in the Russian Federation,” Skibitsky said.
He said that Russian military depots are currently located 80-120 kilometers from the front line, and Ukraine needs longer-range artillery to strike them.
It is also needed to launch a counteroffensive before Russia brings in reinforcements.
– To prepare a counteroffensive or offensive operation, it is necessary to destroy many objects not only on the front line, but also deep in the rear, 100-150 km away,” the DIU representative explained.
In addition, Ukraine needs tanks, armored personnel carriers, and heavy weapons to form strong strike groups, Skibitsky added.
The full-scale war in Ukraine continues for the 336th day.
