Russia has increased the intensity of its use of attack UAVs, namely the Shahed, and will probably increase their use against Ukraine in the future.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the telethon.
– The Russian Federation will use this weapon more, since it has the ability to obtain and manufacture it. That is, what was said a few months ago is currently happening. Now they are attacked by Shaheds every night, – he emphasized.
According to him, today’s result – 17 out of 24 drones were shot down – is also a high indicator, because the Defense Forces are constantly working on increasing the ability to resist attack UAVs.
Ignat also noted that this fall we are in a better situation than last year in terms of saturation with various types of Western-made weapons.
– We do not publicize, of course, where and with what we shoot down, so that the enemy does not draw certain conclusions, but these means are becoming more and more… We expect good news that our defense forces will be strengthened against strike drones, – he added.
