The administration of US President Joe Biden confirms to its allies that military assistance to Ukraine will continue, despite the growing number of Republicans in Congress.
According to Axios, this confirmation came from four independent sources, including a U.S. official and two senior European diplomats, as well as a person directly connected to the Biden administration.
The sources emphasize that the administration’s moves are aimed at easing concerns about the possibility of interference from the Republican Party opposition, which could facilitate Vladimir Putin’s attempts to take over Ukraine.
In order to inform the allies, President Biden and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken plan to hold a series of phone conversations with European leaders.
As a reminder, on the evening of September 30, both houses of Congress passed a resolution on temporary government funding that did not include aid to Ukraine.
Despite the fact that US President Joe Biden signed the relevant draft, he called for preventing support for Ukraine from being interrupted.
