During the mixed missile-drone attack on Ukraine on the night of October 16, the Russian Federation calculated complex trajectories of air targets to bypass air defense systems, but the work of our air defense was quite effective.

This was stated by the spokeswoman of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the South, Natalia Нumenіuk, on the air of the telethon.

– At the same time, it is too early to talk about new tactics. They continue to use maneuvering tactics, what they did before, – she emphasized.

According to her, this time the attack of the Russian Federation was more concentrated on the south-eastern and central regions, that is, on the transition to other regions.

– Again, the trajectory of the movement was difficult. The military had to work in difficult weather conditions. We have a stormy sea. The results of the attack are still being compiled. In general, the enemy directed strikes at infrastructure facilities, and there were not very many Shaheds in our area of responsibility, – Humenіuk added.

According to the Air Force, on the night of October 16, Russia used one Iskander-M ballistic missile , five Kh-59 guided air missiles and 12 Shahed-136/131 type attack UAVs against Ukraine.

It was possible to destroy two Kh-59 and 11 drones.
