The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has only two options to choose from – to be in the dock in The Hague or to be killed by one of his henchmen. There is also no need to be afraid of him, because his fate is to lose.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his speech at the Munich Conference on Saturday, February 17.

– “You can have different attitudes towards institutions, but the ICC warrant for the abduction and forced deportation of children from Ukraine clearly demonstrates where Putin’s career should end. He has only two options ahead of him: to be in the dock in The Hague, or to be killed by one of his henchmen who are now killing for him,” he said.

“There is no need to be afraid of Putin – he is a threat to all free states. Zelenskyy said Putin is a monster who invaded Ukraine and killed thousands of people. He recalled that the dictator had tortured Chechens and Syrians, invaded Georgia, and ordered the execution of opponents, both in Russia and in the heart of London and Berlin.

– There is no need to fear Putin’s defeat and the destruction of his regime. Instead, we need to work together to destroy what he stands for. It is his destiny to lose, not the destiny of the rules-based world order to disappear,” he emphasized.

Zelenskyy noted that years of Putin’s self-isolation and impunity had led to his complete degradation.

The Head of State emphasized that Putin is now openly justifying Hitler, claiming that he is innocent of World War II. He has made the genocide of Ukrainians a regular part of his policy.

– Putin kills whomever he wants, whether it is an opposition leader or anyone who seems to be a target. After the assassination of Alexei Navalny, it would be absurd to perceive Putin as a legitimate head of the Russian state. He is a thug who gains power through corruption and violence,” Zelenskyy said.

As a reminder, on February 16, Russia reported the death of politician Alexei Navalny in a penal colony. The cause of Navalny’s death was allegedly a blood clot.
