Zelenskyy came to Kupiansk: checked the front line and presented awards
On February 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the battalion command post of the 14th Prince Roman the Great Mechanized Brigade, which is performing combat missions to defend Kupiansk in Kharkiv region.
At the frontline, the Head of State got acquainted with the operational situation in the respective area of the frontline.
Brigadier Oleksiy Trubnikov told the President about the experience of using various types of drones in the area of responsibility and the peculiarities of combating enemy UAVs with the help of electronic warfare systems.
They also discussed the provision of equipment, ammunition and other urgent needs of the soldiers.
Zelenskyy talked to the military and awarded the defenders.

In particular, the title of Hero of Ukraine was awarded to Colonel Oleh Apostol, who has been serving in the Air Assault Forces since 2008 and currently commands the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he participated in the defense and liberation of a number of settlements in Mykolaiv region, and since the end of 2022, units under Apostol’s leadership have been carrying out successful defensive and assault operations in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.
Colonel Oleksandr Lutsenko received the Presidential Cross of Military Merit, and other military units received the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order of the III degree and the Order of Courage of the II-III degrees.
