Ivan Syrskyi: Russia is spreading a fake about the “son of the head of the Armed Forces”

Russia is spreading a video provocation with “the son of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi”, which is part of a large-scale hostile information operation to discredit the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ivan Syrskyi – what is known about the fake
According to the Center for Combating Disinformation , Russia is trying to take advantage of the fact that many Ukrainians, even military personnel, have relatives there. Thanks to this, the enemy wants to discredit Ukrainians.
– Ivan Syrskyi, who became the hero of Russian commercials, is not the son of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. He is the son of Oleksandr Syrskyi’s ex-wife from her other marriage. Oleksandr Syrskyi did not adopt Ivan, but divorced his mother back in 2009, – the report says.
The Center for Combating Disinformation claims that Oleksandr Syrskyi’s ex-wife left for Australia with her children and her new husband 14 years ago. Syrskyi does not maintain any relations with her family, the Center for Combating Disinformation assures.
Russian fakes against Syrskyi
Earlier, the Center for Countering Disinformation warned that the Russians are trying to impose the image of a “Soviet and Russian” person on the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Propagandists are looking for Syrskyi’s relatives in Russia and “friends of the family”, from whom they take comments and distribute them in the information space with the appropriate context. The main goal of this campaign is to discredit the Chief of Staff and reduce trust in the Armed Forces.
