Lviv Regional State Administration is preparing to buy housing for internally displaced persons from developers
Lviv Regional State Administration in collaboration with territorial communities have started to form a base of housing stock which will be offered for ransom for the needs of IDPs, as reported the press service of Lviv Regional State Administration.
According to the Regional Administration, more than 250,000 internally displaced persons now live in the region (those who have officially registered and received shelter from Lviv Regional State Administration).
Many of these people have lost their homes and have nowhere to return, so the government and international organizations are already working out mechanisms to provide them with housing, – said the Head of the Regional Administration Maksym Kozytskyy.
He explained that these could be apartments and houses that had already been built and suitable for living, as well as apartments and houses that were in the final stages of construction.

Earlier the Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that the first settlers would start receiving ready apartments with furniture and household appliances in three-four months. First of all, apartments will be provided to those who cannot find a home or currently live in gyms, schools, etc. Lists of those who need to be relocated first are being compiled by the Heads of the Regional State Administrations.
