Today, April 20, the Kyiv Council considered the termination of the land lease agreement with the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
Updated at 18.15. The Kyiv City Council terminated the land lease agreement with the Russian Embassy in the Ukrainian capital.
As the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko reported, the deputies also appealed to the government with a request to return the property of the Russian embassy to the state property.
Earlier, Mayor Vitalі Klitschko expressed confidence that the decision of the deputies will be unanimous.
– I think, here the decision will be unanimous. We will also terminate the lease agreement, and we will appeal to the government regarding the return of the property of the “deputy” of the Russian barbarians to the property of the Ukrainian state, – Vitaliy Klitschko emphasized.
Deputies also plan to terminate land lease agreements on Volodymyrska Uzvіz. This is necessary to prevent construction there and distort the slopes included in the buffer zone of Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO heritage site.
It will be recalled that Kyiv deputies from the Servant of the People faction proposed to take the land plot from the Russian embassy located at 27 Povitrianoflotsky prospect in Solomianskyi district.
