Zelenskyy called on Trump to outline a plan to end the war now
Head of State Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that if US presidential candidate Donald Trump has a real plan to end the war, he should show it now.
According to him, Ukraine has the right to know what it can count on and to be aware of the risks for its own independence.
– If Trump knows how to end this war, he should tell us about it today… If there are risks for Ukrainian independence, if we lose statehood – we want to be ready for this, we want to know, – explained the Ukrainian guarantor.
Zelenskyy added that military equipment from American allies has been arriving at the front for too long, and he is ready to meet with Trump and his team.
— They cannot plan my life, the lives of our people and our children. We want to understand whether we will have strong support from the USA in November, or whether we will be completely alone, – summarized the head of state.
War in Ukraine – Trump’s position
Donald Trump, in his election campaign, repeatedly stated the priority of ending the war in Ukraine as the US president.
According to a statement from his staff, the politician will do whatever is necessary to restore peace and strengthen American power and deterrence on the world stage.
There were versions in the press that Trump, in the event of his re-election, would reduce or completely stop the supply of military aid to Kyiv, but they were later denied.
