Today an evacuation from Mariupol may probably take place: time and gathering point
Today, May 1, the evacuation of civilians from the city of Mariupol may take place, as reported the adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko.
According to him, today may be one of the last real chances to leave the city.
Currently, a gathering of people is scheduled for 16:00 near the mall Port City.
– Unofficially: write, call relatives. This may be one of the last real chances to leave the city. Tell everyone – there are no summonses, no accusations. We are waiting for everyone at home, in Ukraine, – Andriushchenko stressed.
The Mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko informed that more than 100,000 locals were waiting to be rescued.
To recalle, Pope Francis three times asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol for the population. However, he was refused all three times.
Earlier, the Mariupol City Council reported that Russian invaders were settling in the homes of citizens who had left the temporarily occupied territory of the city.
Fake permission for this is issued by the so-called village council which operates under the flag of the “DPR”.
